Description

• Resort Development Group (Yukon) Inc. is hiring a Project Manager!
• Resort Development Group (Yukon) Inc. is currently constructing a new pool facility and expanding the resort at Takhini Hot Springs, about 25 kilometers from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the day to day operations of the office, and assists with project coordination
• Works with management in preparing and maintaining project budgets, progress billings, and procurement activities
• Assists with planning and execution of proposals and project plans as well as staffing, and allocation of resources as needed
• Manages the bookkeeping, payroll, and petty cash using standard tracking systems and financial software
• Uses project management software for tracking, planning, and coordination of time, people, and materials and keeps alert to possible problems
• Assists with coordinating the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment as required by various projects
• Maintains office supplies and technical equipment and systems, including phones and the internet
• Ensures effective implementation of all company and client policies and procedures
• May be required to assist in the preparation of progress and summary reports
• May need to work overtime on occasion and handle stressful timelines or situations
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications:

• A minimum of three to five years related experience, preferably within the construction industry, property management, project management, or transferable experience from related industries
• Diploma or degree in business, office administration, or project management would be an asset
• Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, estimating, scheduling, and construction project management software
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, monitor progress towards goals, track information, and pay attention to details
• Commitment to open communication and collaboration in a team environment
• Must be self-motivated, able to take initiative and work independently with little to no supervision at times while maintaining clear and timely communication with the management and teams
• Must understand and demonstrate professional and confidential behaviour and business ethics
• A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license for occasional work-related travel would be an asset
• Must be a Canadian citizen or eligible to obtain legal authorization to work in Canada
• Another language will be an asset.
