Job Requirements:

• Languages: English
• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test,
• Vulnerable sector check
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Work Location Information: Rural area, Willing to relocate
• Personal Suitability: Values and ethics, Reliability, Judgement, Dependability, Team player
• Additional Skills: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Children's Ages: Infant (3 months - 11 months), 1 year
• Work Setting: Day care centre or nursery school
• Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Emergency child care first aid and CPR,
• Food allergy and anaphylaxis training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate

Early Childhood Educators Specific Skills
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children

Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Experience with Special Needs Children
Children with a mental health disability, Children who are blind or visually impaired, Children who are deaf or hard of hearing, Children with a physical disability, Children with behavioural issues, Children with an intellectual disability, Children with asthma, Children with allergies, Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or attention deficit disorder (ADD), Children with diabetes, Children with Down syndrome, Children with epilepsy, Children with a genetic disorder
