HR and Education Office Clerk – Term Full Time (May 7 – August 31, 2018)

Salary: Level 1 Step 1 ($ 20.54/hr.)

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and Employment and Training Officer, this position is primarily responsible for assisting staff in the HR and Education departments with general clerical assistance. The role will receive day to day task assignment by individual department areas with clear priority assignment. Duties may include filing, photocopying, word processing, data entry, internet research, advertising, event organization, etc., depending on the activities of the departments at any given time.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS to Be Gained:
· Basic knowledge, understanding of TH policies and HR practices;
· Knowledge and understanding of TH history, culture and values;
· Interpersonal skills through working with the public;
· How to function as a team member in a business environment;
· Computing skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Internet, Database, etc.;
· Meeting preparation, organization & minute-taking skills;
· Working in a professional office environment;
· Business communication skills;
· Event organization and planning skills.

Essentials:
· Grade 12 (or equivalency);
· Must be an Unemployed TH Citizen;
· Interest in Human Resources Management, Education, Business Administration, etc;
· Good written communication skills;
· Experience in working with Excel, Word and Outlook and the Internet;
· Good Organizational skills;
· Ability to work independently;
· Good Interpersonal Skills;
· Must be reliable, self-motivated and punctual.

Assets:
· TH Knowledge;
· Driver's License.
Conditions of Employment:
· Mandatory confidentiality is a condition of employment for all Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in personnel. Failure to meet this requirement could result in dismissal.(same for all positions)
