Employment Counselling and Referral
Our two Employment Counsellors provide one-on-one guidance, support and referral to programs. They can assist with job search strategies, resume writing, interview techniques, career exploration and referral to a number of Service Canada's employment programs.
Job Board: Our in-office job board has the most extensive, up to date listings in town,
with private postings, government jobs and seasonal listings for positions in Whitehorse and the surrounding areas.

Workshops: We offer several workshops, including basic computer skills, resume writing, and how to access further training opportunities.

Dress to Impress Program: If you are an unemployed Yukon woman who has a job interview and you need an outfit to wear – Dress to Impress is the program for you.

Computers: Use of the computers is free of charge for job search related activities
only, such as resume development, internet research and online job applications.
Photocopy/Fax/Phone: Phone and fax services are free of charge for job seekers. You can photocopy up to 10 copies of your resume.
Newspapers and Books: Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s Yukon News and the Whitehorse Star, Monday-Friday are available in the reading
area. There are a variety of books and written resources in our centre on resume development & cover letter design. There are also numerous resources relating to job search and career exploration.
