About the Company

We are a Whitehorse (Yukon) based prefab construction company. We build residential projects ranging from custom and spec homes to multi-family town house developments. We have contracts around Yukon in many different communities.

Job Description:

We are seeking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year apprentices to join our growing team. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of a skilled journeyman carpenter to learn and perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and installing building materials such as wood, metal, and drywall. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Work under the supervision of a skilled journeyman carpenter to learn and perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and installing building materials such as wood, metal, and drywall.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform carpentry tasks.
Complete tasks on time and to the required quality standards.
Participate in training and professional development programs to learn new skills and advance your career.
Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and work completed.
Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program and working towards a certification.
Prior experience in carpentry is an asset.
Ability to use hand and power tools to perform carpentry tasks.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions effectively.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods of time.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors and outdoors.
