The Opportunity
We are currently seeking motivated Project Coordinators to join the team in our Commercial Aluminum Department.
Reporting to the Commercial Project Supervisor, and as a member of the Aluminum team, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, managing, and reporting on projects, and for residential and commercial buildings, while maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful work environment, and performs other related duties.
Working closely with other members of the project team, this position plays a key role in assisting with quotes, sales, costs, schedules, and operational efficiency of the Commercial department, while ensuring that projects are completed successfully and that customer needs are being met.

Requirements/Qualifications
The ideal candidate has the following skills/ education/ experience:
- Knowledge of office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Knowledge of Commercial Construction processes an asset
- Familiar with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); the ability to work with ERP software is desirable.
- Able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently as well as a team
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints is considered an asset
- Ability to plan, organize, and monitor daily operations
Diploma in business administration or related field would be an asset. Preference may be given to those with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Previous working experience in project management is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment or construction industry. Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and budget management is required.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment:
- A valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license with a driver’s abstract (minimum 3 years)
- Valid First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain as required
- WHMIS certificate or willing to obtain
- Willing to continuously learn and take additional training as required
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings and/or shift work, if required
- Mandatory confidentiality is a condition of employment for all Northerm personnel
