Journeyman Machinist

JACOBS INDUSTRIES LIMITED is a Machining, Welding and Hydraulic cylinder facility in Whitehorse, Yukon since 1944 currently employing 12-15 people. We also manufacture Oxygen, Acetylene, and sell other industrial gases, welding and industrial supplies. Check our website at www.jacobsindustries.ca

Applicants should be a journeyman machinist with several years' experience and be versatile on lathes, drill presses, milling machines, surface and other grinders, honing machines, boring bar machines and line boring. They should have several years' experience in repairing and rebuilding type of machining jobs.

Welding and mechanical experience and knowledge is a valuable asset. Reading and interpreting blue prints, engineering documents, and other drawings are necessary.

Driver's license, first aid, WHMIS, Safety, and TDG certificates are valued
Applicants must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada
