Description/Duties

Reporting to the Nutritional Program Coordinator , this position will be responsible to provide cooking services for the Breakfast and Lunch program at Robert Service School as well as community meals identified by Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in . The main responsibilities are assisting the Nutritional Program Coordinator with weekly menu plans and, managing food orders, driving and delivering food, packaging and lifting small and large/heavy containers of food, working with other cooks to share jobs, and preparing nutritious meals for the breakfast and lunch program.

Requirements/Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Cooking courses or equivalent experience.
Experience in cooking traditional foods.
Food safety courses or willingness to obtain.
Knowledge and understanding of Northern Canada Food Guide.
