Description/Duties
The Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YFNED) Corporate team is seeking a dynamic, creative and detail-oriented individual who is excited about joining our team as an Operations and Systems Coordinator. The position assists with the upkeep of existing IT systems, supports our remote worksites within Whitehorse and assists with the implementation and maintenance of new systems, databases and processes for the YFNED.
You will enjoy working in a fast paced and active workplace. The position has many layers including responsibility for a variety of day to day IT systems services, supporting staff with basic technology inquiries, coordinating the purchasing, installations and inventory of technology (laptops, telephone systems etc.), as well as the management, inventory and tracking of YFNED assets, materials and equipment. The position works with a great deal of trust and autonomy, supporting directors and team leads across the organization with database implementation, updating and upkeep, in partnership with our external IT service providers. The successful candidate be familiar with database management software, will understand systems, the processes required for procurement, acquisition, maintenance and management of assets.
