Residential Cleaner – Auxiliary On Call

Department: Housing and Infrastructure
Location: Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in Offices – Dawson Y.T.

Standard Hours Bi-Weekly: Auxiliary On-Call
Salary: Level 2 Step 1 ($25.42 per hour)

Under the supervision of the Housing and Facilities Manager, the Auxiliary On-Call Residential Cleaner is responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to, cleaning vacant rental units, primarily following the completion of renovations. The position will also work cooperatively with the Tenant Relations Officer and the Housing Maintenance Supervisor.

An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:
  •  Previous experience in a similar role cleaning residential and/or commercial properties.
  •  Ability to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
  •  Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  •  Ability to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
  •  Ability to take initiative, responsibility and flexibility.

Assets:
  •  Understanding and knowledge of health and safety standards and ability to take precautions when required.
  •  Ability to stand/kneel for extended periods of time

Conditions of Employment:
  •  Criminal Record Check.
  •  Standard First Aid certification.
  •  WHMIS.
