Description/Duties

Retail and Operations Associate – Part-time (Sunday &Monday only) 10am-6pm.
Wage: $22+ / hour

Haines Packing Company is an artisan Alaskan seafood processor nestled in the small community of Haines, Alaska. Independently owned and operated by Harry Rietze, a third-generation Alaskan who oversees every aspect of the business to the highest standards possible.

We are looking for a part-time retail and operations associate for Sunday and Monday shifts with occasional in-town trips.

In this role, you will be helping us with:

Opening and closing of the retail store
Maintain retail store clean, organized, and stocked
Providing excellent customer service using POS (SquareSpace)
Labeling and restocking freshly packaged products
Occasionally required to pick up supplies and run other errands

Requirements/Qualifications

Our ideal candidate…

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
One or more years of experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
Ability to use good judgment and logic
Knowledge of seafood products is a bonus!

Job requirement

Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Must be able to lift up to 50lb in and out of the freezer
