GOVERNMENT OF YUKON IS CURRENTLY SEEKING TEACHERS ON CALL FOR YUKON SCHOOLS
The Government of Yukon’s Department of Education is looking for individuals to work as Teachers on Call in our schools. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a member of a professional team, flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments, knowledge of and sensitivity to the culture and aspirations of Yukon First Nations students and a culturally diverse student population.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or University Degree or Teacher Certification
• Ability to manage a classroom environment that is inviting, safe, inclusive, and supportive
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to the culture and aspirations of Yukon First Nations and a culturally-diverse student population.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration in a team setting
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Search is a condition of employment that must be filled prior to starting work. Please report to your local RCMP detachment to have this check done. Be sure to take two pieces of identification with you.
